FY20 Goldenson Postdoctoral Fellowships

Brief Description:

A gift from Leonard and Isabelle Goldenson, this postdoctoral funding opportunity has been made in recognition of Leonard and Isabelle Goldenson and Dr. William Berenberg’s mission to defeat cerebral palsy. The Leonard and Isabelle Goldenson Research Fellowship Fund was established to support basic and/or clinical research, which is relevant to the causes, prevention, and treatment of cerebral palsy and other neurological diseases at Harvard Medical School.

The Leonard and Isabelle Goldenson Research Fellowship Fund was established to support basic and/or clinical research, which is relevant to the causes, prevention, and treatment of cerebral palsy and other neurological diseases at Harvard Medical School.

Application Information:

Please submit the following items as part of your application:

 

1.   Research Proposal (11-point font, single-spaced, half-inch margins, 4 pages including figures but not references) ordered as follows:

a.     Aims (1 page)

b.     Research Plan (3 pages)

2.  Applicant’s NIH Biosketch and a complete NIH Other Support page (all active and pending support & a statement of overlap where relevant), uploaded as a single PDF.

3.     Mentor’s NIH Biosketch and a complete NIH Other Support page (all active and pending support & a statement of overlap where relevant), uploaded as a single PDF.

4.    Two letters of recommendation, including one from current mentor. Please follow instructions in the portal to submit the letters of recommendation. Applicants are responsible for ensuring that letters are submitted before the deadline using the portal.



Eligibility Criteria:

 

Postdoctoral fellows in laboratories in HMS quad departments and the F. M. Kirby Neurobiology Center at Boston Children’s Hospital, that hold a Harvard Medical School appointment, and that are doing research that is relevant to the causes, prevention and treatment of cerebral palsy broadly defined.


Funding level is dependent on available funds and total number of applicants.

 

Note: Only one application per laboratory.
