The Elizabeth Munsterberg Koppitz Fellowship program provides fellowships for graduate student research in the area of child psychology. Harvard University may nominate one candidate for this opportunity. The available fellowship will not exceed $25,000 and will be good for the 2017-2018 academic year.

The Elizabeth Munsterberg Koppitz Fellowship program provides fellowships for graduate student research in the area of child psychology. Harvard University may nominate one candidate for this opportunity. The available fellowship will not exceed $25,000 and will be good for the 2017-2018 academic year.



Application Information:

Eligible candidates are asked to submit the following:
  • Title and description of proposed project. Include goal, relevant background, target population, methods and anticipated outcomes. 12 point Times New Roman font, not to exceed five pages (please note that the internal application does not ask for implications of the proposed research)
  • A timeline for the proposed project
  • A budget and justification (note that fellowships cannot exceed $25,000. Applicants may use grant monies for direct administrative costs of their proposed project, but not for institutional indirect or overhead costs)
  • Current CV
  • Two letters of recommendation. One from a graduate advisor, the other from a department chair or director of graduate studies (questions concerning the method of delivery of these letters should be directed to autumn_bennett@harvard.edu in the Office of the Vice Provost for Research)



Eligibility Criteria:

Eligible applicants will:
  • Have completed doctoral candidacy (documentation required by the sponsor)
  • Have demonstrated research competence and commitment in the area of child psychology
  • Receive IRB approval before funding can be awarded if human participants are involved
