The objective of the Brain Research Foundation Fay/Frank Seed Grant is to provide start up monies for new research projects in the field of neuroscience that will likely lead to extramural funding from the National Institutes of Health or other outside funding sources.

The objective of the Brain Research Foundation Fay/Frank Seed Grant is to provide start up monies for new research projects in the field of neuroscience that will likely lead to extramural funding from the National Institutes of Health or other outside funding sources.
Harvard University, as one institution, is limited to nominating one Assistant or Associate faculty member to submit a mandatory Letter of Intent during the first phase of the BRF Seed Grant competition.
PLEASE NOTE:
Eligible applicants from HMS and Harvard affiliated hospitals must internally apply to the BRF Seed Grant opportunity through the office of
Harvard Foundation Funds
. Applicant(s) selected through the Harvard Foundation Funds process will then move in to the process facilitated by the Office of the Vice Provost for Research.
Application Information:
Applicants must be full time Assistant or Associate Professors working in the area of studies of brain function in health and disease.
Applicants are asked to submit:
A two page (10 point font minimum) summary of the proposed research project
A current CV
Applicants must be full time Professors or Associate Professors working in the area of studies of brain function in health and disease
Studies should be related to either normal human brain development or specifically identified disease states. This includes molecular and clinical neuroscience as well as studies of neural, sensory, motor, cognitive, behavioral and emotional functioning in health and disease
Assistant Professors:The grant proposal must detail a
new research project
that is not funded by other sources
Associate Professors: The grant proposal must detail
new research directions
