Application Information:

Applicants are asked to provide the following:

  • Proposal Documentation: Title and description of proposed project. Include goal, relevant background, target population, methods, and anticipated outcomes. Formatted in 12 point Times New Roman, not to exceed five (5) pages
  • A timeline for the proposed project
  • Budget and Justification: Note that fellowships can not exceed $25,000. Applicants may use grant funds for direct administrative costs of their proposed project, but not for institutional indirect or overhead costs.
  • CV: No preferred format
  • Two letters of recommendation. One from a graduate advisor, the other from a department chair or director of graduate studies. These letters should not be seen by the applicant.


Eligibility Criteria:

  • Completed doctoral candidacy at the time of application (documentation required).
  • Demonstrated research competence and area commitment.
  • IRB approval must be received from host institution before funding can be awarded if human participants are involved.
