Harvard President Drew Faust established the Presidential Public Service Fellowship program to provide funding to students interested in pursuing public service work during the summer. A limited number of fellowships are awarded on a competitive basis each year to a cohort of undergraduate, graduate, and professional School students participating in a broad range of activities, including government and community service, nongovernmental organization (NGO) and not-for-profit work, and innovative projects that serve the common good. Ordinarily, award amounts do not exceed $5,000 for undergraduates and $8,000 for graduate and professional School students.
The application deadline for summer 2018 is February 1, 2018. Applicants will be notified of award decisions the first week in April 2018.
Applicants should review the information provided here and on the Presidential Public Service Fellowship website to learn more about eligibility, requirements, and the application process.
