Brief Description:

The guiding principle of "Art Works" is at the center of everything the National Endowment for the Arts does. "Art Works" refers to three things: the works themselves, the ways art works on audiences, and the fact that art is work for the artists and arts professionals who make up the field.
The NEA conducts two grant cycles per year. Harvard University is limited to submitting one application to one grant cycle. All grants require a non federal match of at least 1:1. Harvard University may not submit one nomination per cycle. The Office of the Vice Provost for Research is facilitating an internal process to select one submission to go forward from the university. Please note that for this opportunity the museums of Harvard, and A.R.T., are viewed by the NEA as separate entities. More information about this distinction is available here
