Brief Description:

The objective of the Brain Research Foundation Scientific Innovations Award is to support projects that may be too innovative and speculative for traditional funding sources in the areas of basic and clinical neuroscience, but still have a high likelihood of producing important findings. It is expected that investigations supported by these grants will yield high impact findings and result in major grant applications and significant publications in high impact journals. Harvard University, as one institution, may nominate one senior faculty member to submit a mandatory Letter of Intent during the first phase of the competition.
Please note: Eligible applicants from HMS, Harvard affiliated hospitals, and the Wyss Institute must apply through the process facilitated by the
Harvard Medical School Foundation Funds office.
