Application Information:

Interested and eligible applicants are asked to submit the following:
  • A three page statement describing current or proposed doctoral research. Please include a description of the project, the methodological approach employed and which of the four themes identified by the Trudeau Foundation that the research best aligns with (Human Rights and Dignity, Responsible Citizenship, Canada in the World, and People in their Natural Environment)
  • A current CV (no preferred format)
  • One letter of reference from an academic referee concerning academic achievements (Please note: while the Trudeau Foundation application requires three letters from applicants, Harvard University is requesting that internal applicants only submit one letter as part of their internal application. If internal applicants move ahead with a nomination from Harvard the applicant will then need to gather two additional letters)

Eligibility Criteria:

Harvard University is viewed as a foreign university for this opportunity and is limited to submitting six proposals for consideration. Applicants may not apply directly to the Trudeau Foundation.
Applicants are encouraged to refer to the Trudeau Foundation's FAQ page for further information concerning eligibility and then follow up with the appropriate research administration professional at their school. A list of who to contact at each school is available here
