The David and Lucile Packard Foundation's Fellowships provide early career faculty members (within the first three years of their appointment) engaged in research in the natural and physical sciences or engineering the opportunity to pursue their science and engineering research with few funding restrictions and limited paperwork requirements over a five year period. Harvard University, as one institution, is eligible to put forward two nominations to the Packard Foundation for this prestigious opportunity. The Office of the Vice Provost for Research is facilitating an internal application and review process.

Applicants are asked to provide the following (this information will appear again on each applicant's electronic dashboard)
Packard Fellows must be faculty members who are eligible to serve as principal investigators on research in the natural and physical sciences or engineering, and must be within the first three years of their faculty careers (no earlier than May 31, 2018 and no later than May 31, 2021)
This competition is enabled for Proxy applicants. Before beginning an application, Proxies will be asked to locate their Principal Investigator in HUFP. If your PI is not registered in HUFP, please ask them to create their profile using their HarvardKey. Proxies should never "Add User" in HUFP.
