The Office of the Vice Provost for Research is facilitating an internal application process for eligible applicants across the university.

Application Information:

Applicants are asked to submit the following:

  • A two page summary of the proposed research. Minimum 10 pt font. Graphics and/or references may be placed on consecutive blank pages after the summary.
  • A current CV (no preferred format) The CV should clearly include all current and completed research support
  • A facilities and resources statement for the proposed research (max one page, 10 pt font minimum)



Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants who have questions concerning their eligibility are asked to contact the appropriate research administrator at the school where they hold a primary appointment. A list of who to contact by school is available here.
  • Emphasis in the David Mahoney Neuroimaging program is on assisting promising early career investigators to obtain pilot study data concerning novel hypotheses that will help them compete for larger-scale funding from other sources.
  • To be eligible, applicants must have faculty appointments. Early career investigators most often are investigators at the assistant professor level and those who are in their early years of their associate professor appointments.
  • Senior investigators may apply only if the proposed study represents a new research direction. Post-docs are not eligible to apply unless they can provide evidence that they will have a faculty appointment prior to the start of the grant period.
