The Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship, offered by the Government of Canada, provides two year fellowships to eligible postdoctoral students nationally and internationally.
There are no limits to the number of applicants that may apply to the Banting Fellowship opportunity. Those who wish to be hosted by a Faculty member at Harvard University should first confirm that their proposed host's lab or other research space is
physically located
on the campus of Harvard University. Once confirmed, applicants must complete the internal application described below in order to receive a Letter of Institutional Endorsement signed by the Vice Provost for Research at Harvard University.

Once confirmed, applicants must complete the internal application, (described below), in order to receive a Letter of Institutional Endorsement signed by the Vice Provost for Research at Harvard University.
Please Note:
If your proposed host is based at one of the institutions listed below*,
Harvard University is unable to provide the Letter of Institutional Endorsement required by the Banting Fellowship.
The letter must come from the institution where your proposed host has their lab or research space.
While there are many faculty members affiliated with Harvard University, those who do not
occupy physical lab and/or research space on the campus of Harvard University
are not administratively supported, employed, or governed by Harvard University. As such Harvard University cannot provide the required Institutional Endorsement letter for the following affiliated institutions:

Application Information:
Those in need of an Institutional Letter of Endorsement signed by the Vice Provost for Research at Harvard University will be asked to provide contact information and a copy of their proposed supervisor's statement
